Sassafras Audubon Board Member Julia Wilson will be leading a walk at Flatwoods Park, just a bit west of Ellettsville. Flatwoods has a number of nice walking trails through a variety of habitats and offers great birding close by for birders in Monroe and Owen Counties. Last year's highlights included raptors, woodpeckers, winter bluebirds, songbirds, and sparrows. We ended up with a beautiful Bald Eagle flyover. Masks and preregistration required and capped at 15 people. Please preregister at president@sassafrasaudubon.org.
